These heavy, hand carved shallow stone bowls are simply beautiful. Each is unique, not only due to its hand made nature but also due to the natural markings of this exquisite material.
Traditionally used for grinding spices on the Indian Subcontinent, they make lovely centrepieces for all manner of items from fruits, nuts and spices to soaps and shells.
Dimensions are typically 20-25 cm in diameter but each is slightly different.

These are just beautiful – I sat and admired mine for ages after putting it on the shelf! Very heavy but quite distinctive and perfect for so many things. Mine holding walnuts in run up to the festive season 🙂
